1.0Mechanical TecHNICIAN ROLE The Mechanical Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Mechanical Technician is responsible for the technical integrity and maintenance of all rotating and auxiliary equipment onboard the FLNG facility. This includes FLNG process machinery, cargo machinery, mooring machinery, power generation systems, marine loading arms, other STS offloading systems, marine cranes, utility systems such as, but are not limited to: seawater systems, cooling water systems, ballast system, bilge system, sludge system, fresh/potable and demineralized water makers, water distribution system, sewage treatment system, bilge and slop water treatment system, purifier systems, diesel oil system, lube oil system, bunker stations, ICCP system, hypochlorite generation systems, air compression systems, nitrogen generation systems, firewater system, deluge and spray system, fixed firefighting and lifesaving systems. After sail away the Mechanical Technician is responsible for: Assist the Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance matters, Implement and maintain the FLNG unit Safety Management System and motivate the crew to comply and follow this policy, Ensure all activities are carried out according State, Class, Flag and Operator requirements including the prevention, management and reporting of incidents, Implement and maintain Global Maintenance and Inspection Plan (GMIP) in all aspects, including preventive, risk based and corrective activities, Implement and maintain maintenance plan for Safety and Environmental Critical Equipment (SECE), Ensure inclusion of all corrective maintenance activities into GMIP system, Responsible for the first line preventive and corrective maintenance execution and reporting, Follow-up and ensure closure of safety/environmentally critical related notification, Participation and promotion of project health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, Communicate weekly readiness look ahead schedule updates to Maintenance Supervisor and other team members, Ensure spare parts, tools and consumables are managed, controlled, ordered, stored, inventoried, Positive action is taken to stop hazards and unsafe behaviour, Provides support as part of the Asset emergency response team. SKILLS AND EXPERINECE As a minimum requirement, Mechanical Technician needs to have 5 years of experience as described above and below, including knowledge of maintenance related statutory requirements, IMO Guidelines as well as LNG, LPG and/or FLNG / FPSO Operations & Maintenance requirements including associated hydrocarbons activities. Experience should include: Working in multicultural environment as well as protection of major sites/vessel/hydrocarbon units including protection of people, environment, asset and reputation, Proficiency in Maintenance regulations, Emergency Response and Crisis Management, and ability to keep excellent composure during the management of an incident as well as maintenance and construction matters, Experience as Emergency Response Team Leader or equivalent. Communications: Good verbal and written English communication skills, Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels, Ensure Maintenance Supervisor is advised of all project operating issues that are impacting on operation requirements. Training and Competencies: Engineer of the Watch CoC (Unlimited) or Engineering Degree with 5 years maintenance experience combined with a minimum 3 years of experience in Marine or Oil & Gas project management of LNG, LPG or FLNG / FPSO, BOSIET (OPITO), Advanced firefigting CoP (STCW), Medical care CoP (STCW), Profficiency in survival craft CoP (STCW), Advanced liquified gas CoP (STCW), Designated security duties CoP (STCW), Others as per Project Training Matrix.
